Retrospective on the Modelica Conference
Nearly a year has passed since simercator’s CEO Philipp has presented some of simercator’s work to the specialist audience of the International Modelica Conference in Aachen.

The International Modelica Conferences are a series of biennial conference where leading scientists from academia and industry meet, not only to speak about the Modelica language and simulation applications using Modelica, but also about general developments and trends in fields like multidisciplinary system simulation, cooperative simulation (co-simulation), and standards. In particular, the Modelica Association manages the most important industry standards for representing and exchanging simulation models between tools of different vendors, namely the standards Functional Mockup Interface (FMI), and System Structure and Parametrization (SSP).
At the Modelica conference, simercator has contributed two peer-reviewed scientific articles. We believe in the open exchange of ideas, and in the close interaction with researchers, and industry-leading modeling and simulation experts. These gatherings help us understand the future needs of the industries, and shape innovative, forward-looking solutions for our clients.
We also belief in the spirit of open source software. Besides simercator’s core engine, simercator’s CEO Philipp is actively developing MoPyRegtest, an open-source solution for modern continuous integration testing of Modelica libraries: See Philipp’s GitHub. While previously developed for simercator’s own Modelica libraries only, Philipp has decided to share MoPyRegtest with the community. Open source development has become vital for high-tech industries, and we at simercator believe in the power of open source software.
